I was so desperate to finish our CS 145 Machine Problem on time when I wrote the lyrics below. CS 145 is a three-unit subject in Computer Science that deals with computer networks. The machine problem, which is the term for a take-home small programming exercise, is for four computers play poker with or without human intervention where information about the card is passed and listened through sockets. Hanggang Kailan by Orange and Daemons comes from the original song of Orange and Lemons with the same song title.

The first two stanzas deal with my helplessness debugging which line in the code was the source of the exception. If I don’t pass, then I will take the subject next semester. Why settle for that case if the teacher is the same?

The chorus narrates our overnight sessions encoding the solution. I believe this is the first and last in the history of Computer Science Department that students were allowed to stay overnight in a laboratory. Unfortunately, the said MP is the only hope for most of us to pass the course since we failed the exams in a row. Broadcast and listen are two of the services the socket can provide.
