The week of August 21 is uber busy week. I am occupied by perm.sh of Security TeG and prework of support package and kernel patches build of Quality Maintenance Release TeG. I stay at least 10 hours at office working with record-breaking minimal break and chitchats. The jobs had piled up from last week when I was the DM and can’t do anything else but DM. A hell week indeed.

I am not complaining that I have those work where in fact I asked for them, non-administrative work in security and immersion on QMR world. My rants are just involuntary response to my working environment. Quote.

The spirit is willing, but the body is weak. Matthew 26:41.

Unquote. And G1* system is coming.

And it was only in Friday that I broke loose. Okay I stole the limelight and everyone else’s attention as I arrived to office rocking like a star. It was a little pamper to myself and a preparation as we will be recognized with a Quarterly Excellence Award at the coffee talk. I have been excited to attend coffee talks only twice, the first one and the recent. The latter is due to the Site LT awards and for the reason that my abstract paper is going to be mentioned in the gathering of HP employees.

After the coffee talk, Jeff, Kido, JP and Francis and Alex (who I used to interchangably identified Rachel’s boyfriend and boy friend) headed to Antipolo where Jeff’s den slash home poker arena is located. We went to Mister Kabab for stopover. Visits after visit add points to my satisfaction and craving for their specialty. Oxbrain and chelokebab are superb. It took some time and most of us joked that we had crossed the International Date Line before we touched down ground zero.

It was past twelve when no-friendly-game poker tournament began. At the first session, six of us bet hundred bucks and the pot ended at my hands. We called to raise the bet double and this time Kido managed to grab the one thousand two hundred pesos while the other hand’s at the keyboard for the mySAP upgrade. And to close the bigtime night with someone losing 500 bucks flat, the last session’s prize at stake is one thousand two hundred pesos again. And again… I won. I wanted to give a pakimkim or balato through 8-Mcdo but the store near Jeff’s house will open at 6. It would be two more hours and maybe all of us are sleeping. Small time sessions continued before and after we slept leaving Jeff and Lex empty handed. Well, at least, Lex won to our new learning – bridge card game.

I am prepared for Saturday gimmick with May. I brought sets of clothes and few grooming etsos. So right after we trek down from hills of Antipolo, I went to Greenhills. We should be joining my CS batchmates in our reunion but only Sheryl and Jeff took their time to bowl. So technically, it’s cancelled. They headed to Megamall whereas May and I continue what was previously planned. Lucky strikes. Thanks to my net winning and we had maximized our pinning down fun. She’s a bowling player.

We decided not to hop at the Cursor party – (1) I am very sleepy (2) I can’t party while carrying two big bags.

I arrived at home past nine. Few hours after, this entry was posted.
