My junior year at Computer Science wouldn’t be complete without the support and companionship of Ryan March and ICONS or the Irregular Computer Science Majors. During those times of dual identities being seniors and juniors at the same time, March has been my default groupmate. I remember the days when I need to go to Fairview on his house and to stay overnight to finish what we though unsolvable machine problems in our Algorithms class. NP problems, eh?
ICONS, a group of irregular students mostly shiftees from another course, believes that joining a student organization and fraternities is not a necessary stepping stone to graduate. Cursors? Icons? Gets? Though semesters after, I don’t simply join a student organization, particularly UP Cursor, but I actually co-revitalized a student organization, UP ACM! ICONS member joined the latter, too!
March and I stand on common grounds besides being shiftee – on our priorities, on making Engineering library a tambayan, mp3 files, student volunteerism, etc. Hope to see yah my friends at ICONS!
