Way back college, a student organization head and I patched some personality differences up to save our friendship. It later serves as an important bookmark on my life where I can turn back and reflect. During the said lengthy flow of logic, emotions, arguments and reactions, I learned that the person wishes for the same respect I am getting from our peers. Then, the person lectured me about two kinds of respect – the respect out of fear and the other one which is out of love. As vague as you can imagine, how’s love gotta to do with it? My friend then compares two person. The first one walks to the corridors, comes across with our classmates and if the day is generously good, would be answered with promises of beating the deadlines of deliverables on the upcoming event of the club after hello’s. Then if I will walk to the same corridors, will meet the same group of classmates, regardless how good or bad my day is, the vague word of love becomes evident.

I checked this observation with my other friends. One of which is a teacher of ours. She said I got charisma which unfortunately what my friend is missing. Honestly, I’m blinded about it. I’m just being myself on what I do. Motto 1. ‘Nagpapakatotoo lang’. I was never elected president of a high school student council neither hold a highest position in a college organization. But I became the Alumni President and Batch Representative of my high school and college friends. Hindi ako magaling sa pulitika. Sa papakipag-relasyon siguro. Or maybe because elections happen during the start of the year as opposed to the selections of batch representatives happening at the end of the school year. Respect takes time.

Dejavu!

It happened again with me and someone. The person remarked ‘I don’t know how strong your influence to your peers’ which is unknown to me either. I consulted this with my friends (the peers) and had suggested me to agree and should have replied ‘Yes, I know.’ during that moment, so they would appear like what you usually see in SWAT movies on that scene when and where the remark was spilled.

It is not my intention to have them feel that way – intimidated. I wanted to play back the infamous line of PBB Season 2 Big Winner, Bea Saw, ‘ang respeto.. hindi ini-impose… ini-earn yan’. Respect is not imposed. It is earned. There’s no CBA or documentation on how to earn respect. Inflict fear or sow understanding. One will gain authority… the other will receive love.

Strong influence? Having said that is like removing their privilege to think by themselves – to act by themselves. Collective thinking? Nope, I call this standing up on a common ground – fighting for a common cause. Understand others and be understood. Motto 2. ‘Nagpapakatao lang’.

She will have her hosting stint on her first solo TV show so soon titled Gaby’s ExtraOrdinary Files. Here’s something out of ordinary, an ambigram for the 3rd Big Placer of the recently concluded Pinoy Big Brother Celebrity Edition 2.

I was able to guess 89% 90% or 178 180 out of 200 tag lines of the classic (as in nineteen kopong-kopong pa yata) and popular Pinoy commercial advertisements with the help of Google and other university exchange forums which 79% came from pure luck and my memory recall. I now declare surrender. If you know the brands of these not-so-popular taglines, please shout it on the comment box.

Unlike other Excel games, I was not able to cheat on this game. If you are familiar with similar spreadsheet games like ‘Karaoke’, ‘OPM’ and ‘Tagalugin Mo’, I could peek on the answers of these quizzes when I view the document as text file. However, the author of Break Time game is clever that he wrote all answers on separate hidden sheet and makes it unreadable on the text file.

Now that controversies are more than ever, I’m grateful knowing that we still have each other. We’re standing under one umbrella. Yes, we’re standing under one umbrella.

I feel like singing and opening the Umbrella. There had been a Nazty series of life happenings and updates lately that normal people may be left soaked in the rain if such were encountered. I wouldn’t be extraordinary to handle these well without her, the heartfelt support and her umbrella.

Controversies are for 60-minute afternoon weekend shows for the celebrities. These controversies should not ruffle my stillness. It doesn’t take a long time for me to bite in on the brighter side of the recent events. I have so much blessings to count, people to count on and I have her at my side. They made my life interesting one instead and not controversial.

The recent turn of events becomes sweeter. Receiving kind words is like manna from heaven when the place I stand turned out to be… you know what. Actually, her words didn’t counter the cutting remarks and negativities heard out of these controversies that I was engaged into neither made me feel ‘tama ako, mali yung iba, kampi kami’. Instead, she stoned me words of appreciation on the relationship we are keeping – something that binds us closer to each other during the said rainy season.

To someone who hopes beyond friendship may not fully appreciate ‘as friends’ level of relationship. To be called as her greatest friend is to be the friend closest to her heart. There’s no showbiz about this. Buzz news eh? I am contented unless someone comes closer. How will this continue? We don’t know. That’s a big headline we should watched for.

Kaisa is the academy that immersed Shububu’s into SAP world. It was supposedly a training ground for us but turned out to be a playground where we discreetly Meebo, E-messenger and other alternatives to Yahoo! Messenger just to un-bore us on SAP discussions when we’re not aware how big the world of SAP is.

Kaisa has been also the home of other talents who augment the DM pool.
