I was supposedly sending a farewell message to everyone that I had worked and mingled with at HP. I was just about to complete the first paragraph when I can hardly help but to get emo. Good memories and um, personality-challenging ones, flash back. I told myself not to put emotions on my next emails when some would ‘complete the text’ differently – those who deviates from the way I wanted to express the text. Furthermore, I recently read from a “how-to-quit-your-job” article, this goodbye message should never envelope emotions. So I decided to delete the draft, surrendered “my” first ever laptop and just announce to the whole word of HP and P&G that I already left the company via an auto-reply out-of-office notice. Well, goodbye messages only serve as a proclamation that one is leaving. Thank You’s are nice but optional in farewell emails.

I can make up for the latter and have the TY’s for everyone here… so it gets more personal… on something personal… on my blog.

First installment – Thank You, Shububu and Friends!

Shububu is the coolest barkada I ever had. Strangers wouldn’t know that our respective ages actually reaching quarter-life because the way we behave. It is not evident that we act our age. We’re kids who simply enjoy life.

Enjoying life means trips, dayouts, sleepovers, movies, poker nights and videoke. I love gimiks. Shububu never runs out of gimik plans but we hardly implement such especially Martial Law is currently in place. That is, no complimentary day-off or CDO! In layman’s term, no vacation break.

Now that I evicted myself out of Big Bother’s House, the challenge is to have a link here from the outside world to PBB House. And Big Bother does not like that! Whenever the majority has found a common free time, Myk, JP, Jason and other leavers stay connected and are still enjoying Shububu company (or Parokya aka extended Shububu or Shububu plus Kaisa Batch 2). So in my case, even though I’m kilometers away from Makati, I can still join the club!

But we’re more than gimiks! We’re brothers and sisters (binded by common complaints). I should be able to take good care of this friendship. Shububus are definitely irreplaceable.

The next lines are the parts where I shall be melodramatic. So hold your Kleenex, guys!

Thank You…

…Kido

You always make me feel that I’m doing the right things in life. ‘Sige’, ‘Tuloy Mo’. There are the things that might not end up exactly what I wanted but what matters is the happiness that I draw out from doing such. It’s fun to share it with you. Being a third wheel has never been this fun!

…Hannah

You never refuse any request from me since Day 1. I really appreciate it. You seem like our eldest sister that is ready to protect us – bullying and frighting others away so that we can benefit some stuff first. Stay sweet as always.

…Jay

You fire up my intellect. You have a vast knowledge to share. You’re a great teacher that shut us up hilariously. Your laughter is heart felt. I’m not afraid to commit mistake after I try some things because I know I can learn to recovery lessons from you (not SAP ‘staff’).

…Larisse & Jason

You inspire me to speak up louder! And to blog more! You understand where I am coming from. Stand UP! Mga Peyups, talaga! Your romance opens many ideas about relationship that leads me to find my own. You remind me of chances and stakes. You made me think that “Pwede pala yun!”

…Pao, William, She, Ardee

I enjoyed your company even on a shorter time. Still memories are always treasured for a lifetime. Shububu 10 is a blast!

…Kat

Nakakabitin ka! Hahaha! Easy come, easy go.

You are one of the most special persons I met at HP. I presented almost all sort of Nazty-ness in my life – comic, artistic, dramatic, jologs and fun. Masayang kasama ka dahil swak ang pagpapakatotoo natin. In fairview, sa ‘yo lang ako naiyak! Shububu kasi ay masyadong masayahin kaya mahirap mapagkuwento ng other side of life. Thanks for the comfort.

…Myk

Sa buhay, may mga bagay talaga na hindi kailangan na sineseryoso. Isa ka na dun! Haha! Your sense of humor and the sensibility on the unexplainable concept of destiny put fun@hp in reality. Myk, nakakabahala na… tayo na lang!

…Dans

As I compare working at HP as classroom experience, I’m glad that you are my seatmate. Your aura is incredible! Full of positivity! I like to see your artworks and I sense that you’ll be the most creative among the remaining housemates. Jannie is right to dub you as the Queen Bee of our Garden as all drones wanted to come close. Later, I realized that I’m the King Butterfly. Nevertheless, I enjoyed our friendship.

…Jeff

Yeah, you’re one of the male bees that I talked about earlier. It is not that soon when you learned that you are a King Firefly when you met Caress. Your patience is remarkable! Ikaw lagi ang tampulan ng tukso and yet you stay classy! You’re the good boy among us who used not to charge us with gas and parking fee. Our road trips are memorable.

…JP

Ibang klase naman ang trip mo! Kakaiba! Pag sinabing experience, eXperience to the capital X! Wehehehe. I appreciate that you never forget to invite me in your dreams outside HP.
